Day 2: Quieting The Mind - The Master Lao-Tzu

This second Seven Masters, One Path meditation is based on the Spiritual Master Lao Tzu, who was born in southern China around two thousand five hundred years ago. Living a very quiet life, this enlightened man wrote just one thin volume of spiritual reflections called the Tao Te Ching - which has since been published in more languages than any book except the Bible. Lao Tzu was an immortal inspirer whose remarkable teachings offer perhaps the deepest expression of the heart’s spiritual path, and clear guidance of the human spirit toward supreme fulfillment.

The essence of Lao Tzu’s teaching was to choose to quiet the mind’s chatter, and experience life itself directly. There’s nothing deeper in meditation than mastering this process of quieting our thoughts and entering into a state of inner quiescence and awareness. The second spiritual focus phrase of the Seven Master process states this desired intent: “My mind is quiet …” Say it – do it!
