It's hard to stop a bad habit unless you replace it with a more successful habit. This is very true when it comes to such things as chronically thinking anxious worried thoughts, or judgmental thoughts.

  • Whenever you find yourself caught up in negative thoughts and emotions, just remember this new positive habit, and run the seven focus phrases through your mind, one for each new breath (or two breaths) - and go around the Spiral Meditation a few times until your mind becomes beautifully quiet!
